Glenn and Gail’s Story
We have been married for 27 years and have three children. For 17 years we lived just outside Monto on a large cattle property. As our children moved into their high school years, we decided to move to Brisbane for their education. In that same year in 2002, we started Simon’s Gourmet Gallery in Chapel Hill, alongside Simon’s Gallery of Meats at Ascot. In 2010 we opened Toowong and we haven’t looked back since.
We invested our time and hearts into Simon’s as we saw a need for customers to receive top quality products with good old fashioned friendly service that also provided excellent product knowledge and advice–a gap we noted in regular supermarkets in urban suburbs.
We once heard the saying ‘your passion is on your plate’ and we aspired to live by that motto ever since. Our passion for food grew over the past decade as we continued to grow and improve.
We strive to be the best at what we do in the food and beverage industry. We are fortunate and thankful to have a great team behind us who are as passionate about food as we are and who has a commitment to provide excellent customer service. We are proud of the products, knowledge and experience that we have to offer our customers, and winning the Quest Business Achievers Awards for Chapel Hill for 2011 and 2010, drives us even more so to go further in this industry.
